Privacy Policy

Eslinger Dental Consultants, LC (“EDC,” “we,” “us”) runs eslingerdental.com, the free tools on it, and the EDC Deal Room. This policy explains how we handle personal information across all three. Confidentiality is the foundation of what we do for dentists, and we hold your information to the same standard.

Information you give us

• Contact and valuation requests: your name, email, phone number, state, your message, and the optional details you choose (your situation, practice size, and how you prefer to be contacted).
• Tool handoffs: when you ask us to follow up from the instant estimate or the offer second read, your email or phone number and the figures you entered in that tool, so we can pick up where you left off.
• The Multiples Watch list: your email address, if you subscribe.
• The EDC Deal Room (by invitation only): your name, email, organization, sign-in credentials, your acceptance of the NDA and any fee agreement, and, for sellers and EDC, the documents uploaded to a room.

Information collected automatically

• How you found us: campaign tags in the link you followed, the page you landed on, and the site that referred you. Your browser holds these for the length of your visit, and they reach us only if you submit a form.
• Site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few named actions (for example, completing the readiness check or submitting a tool handoff). It does not use cookies and does not follow you to other websites.
• Server and security logs: our hosting and database providers record technical details such as IP addresses and request times to operate and protect the service.
• Deal Room activity: which documents each member opens or downloads, and when. Documents you view carry your identity and a timestamp as a watermark. This record is part of how the room protects confidential information, and sellers in a deal can see activity on their own room.

The free tools run in your browser

The instant estimate, the offer second read, and the deal readiness check do their math on your device. We do not receive the numbers or answers you enter unless you choose to send them to us through a follow-up request. Two things to know: the tools can put your inputs into the page address so you can share or revisit a result, which means anyone you send that link to can see those inputs; and nothing in the tools asks for your name.

Cookies

The public website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The EDC Deal Room and our internal workspace use essential cookies to keep signed-in users signed in securely. Those are required for the service to work and are not used for anything else.

How we use information

• To answer you, prepare valuations, and provide the services you ask for.
• To run engagements you sign up for, including operating the Deal Room.
• To send the Multiples Watch if you subscribed, until you unsubscribe.
• To understand which pages and tools are useful, and improve them.
• To keep the site, the Deal Room, and your information secure.
• To meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers that run the site for us under contract: hosting (Vercel), database, sign-in, and file storage (Supabase), and email delivery (Resend). They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
• Prospective buyers, only as part of an engagement you authorize. Buyers first see a blind profile with no identifying details. A seller’s identity and documents are released only to buyers who have signed an NDA, and only as the seller and EDC decide.
• Professional advisors such as our attorneys and accountants, under duties of confidentiality.
• Legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• A change in our business, such as a merger or transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.

Patient information stays out

Please do not send patient-identifiable information through this website, its forms, or email to us. The EDC Deal Room runs on a strict no-PHI standard: diligence uses de-identified summaries and financials, sellers confirm documents contain no patient information before uploading, and anything flagged in EDC review is locked away from every buyer. If patient information reaches us by mistake, we delete or quarantine it. Patient-level exchange, when a transaction requires it, happens outside our systems under the practice’s own HIPAA procedures.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including the length of an engagement and the records we are required to keep afterward. Multiples Watch subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

How we protect it

Information travels encrypted between your browser and our services. Access to stored data is enforced by the database itself, not only by the website, and staff access requires two-factor sign-in. Deal Room files sit in private storage, are served only to authorized members, and are watermarked. No system is perfectly secure, but we design ours around the assumption that confidentiality is the whole job.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from the Multiples Watch at any time using the link in any issue or on our unsubscribe page.
• Ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing cameron@eslingerdental.com. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request.
• Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights. We honor reasonable requests regardless of your state, and we will never treat you differently for making one.

Children

This site is for practice owners and business professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Where information is processed

EDC and our service providers operate in the United States, and information is stored and processed there.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site or tell you directly where we can.
